Provenance:

made for Jean Lallemant le Jeune, Lord of Marmagne (d. 1548). Purchased in 1750 from J.H. van Wassenaer-van Obdam (his sale at P. de Hondt, The Hague; cat. Aug. 10, p. 63, no. 802) by stadholder William IV, prince of Orange-Nassau; by descent to William I, king of TheNetherlands, who ceded it in 1816 to the KB
