Vellum, ff. 103, 170x118 (##x70) mm, 20 lines, littera textualis, Binding: contemporary brown leather; blind panelstamped (St. John the Baptist) (rebacked)

Decoration:

5 full-page miniatures (101/90 mm) with border decoration; 5 historiated initials (51/44x58/50 mm) with border decoration; all border decoration in Leyden style (`Leyden blue acanthus'; 2 illustrations in the margin; penwork initials with pen-flourishes in Leydenstyle (ff. 58r, 58v, 61r, 61v, 62r, etc.)

J.P.R. Lyell (19th century; bookplate). Purchased in 1952 from antiquarian bookseller B. Quaritch, London

Annotation:

Utrecht calendar: feasts in red include St. Jeroen (17 August). Written in `spiky' script. Miniatures are sketchely painted on soft coloured ground. Fol. 63 with miniature now misbound between ff. 68 and 69
