Vellum, ff. 165, 165x115 (97x72) mm, 22 lines, littera textualis, Binding: contemporary brown leather; blind (panelstamped: Lamb of God)

Decoration:

2 historiated initials (36/35x53/45 mm) with border decoration; decorated initials with border decoration (ff. 28r, 41v, 68r, 98v); all border decoration in North Holland style (`bunches-of-twigs'); penwork initials with pen-flourishes in North Holland style (`thorn-and-stitch'; 114v, 117v, 120v, 121r, 131r, etc.)

Provenance:

Sister Susanne and sister Sibilla, daughters of Ian van der Meer, Tertiaries at the Convent of St. Ursula in Schiedam. Sold in 1764 at the sale of P. van Damme a.o. at F.L. Varon & J. Gaillard, The Hague (cat. 8 Oct. Pt. 3, no. 2626). J. Koning; his sale in 1833 at HetHuis met de Hoofden, Amsterdam (cat. 29 April, pt. 1, no. 181), where purchased by Groebe.
