Vellum, ff. 335, 210x155 (141x103) mm, 24 lines, littera textualis, Binding: 19th-century half leather by W. Carbentus

Decoration:

1 pendrawn historiated initial (47x100 mm) with pen-flourishes; penwork initials with pen-flourishes throughout

Provenance:

Dominicanesses of the Monastery of St. Mary Magdalene, Wijk bij Duurstede (16th century). Safegarded at the Convent of the Friars Minor at Den Bosch (beginning of 17th century). Presented in 1628 by sister A. Hillekens to the Dominican J. Couck of Utrecht. Purchased in1830 by B. van Holten at a sale at J.W. van Leeuwen, Leyden (May 11, Libri Theol. in-4o no. 24) and sold to W.H.J. van Westreenen

Annotation:

Dominican calendar: Utrecht feasts added as `festum patriae'. Probably miniature or historiated initial missing before f. 9 (#)
