Vellum, ff. 219, 170x122 (100x70) mm, 22 lines, littera textualis, Binding: 20-century brown leather (made 197#) with parts of 18th-century brown leather binding; gilt on spine

Decoration:

7 illustration in the margin; penwork initials with pen-flourishes in Delft style (`block'; ff. 15r, 44r, 61r, 74r, 104r, etc.)
Inserted: 7 full-page miniatures ( mm) with border decoration in Delft style (`kriezels') 7 illustrations in the margin

Provenance:

Purchased in 1890 by C.A. Corrie in Venice and presented to A.W. Corrie of Park Hall, Oswestry, Shropshire (book-plate). Sold in 1968 at Sotheby's, London (cat. 10 July, no. 298, fig.); purchased in 1968 from antiquarian bookseller Meyer Elte, The Hague

Annotation:

Utrecht calendar: feasts in red include St. Hippolytus (13 August), St. Jeroen (17 August), St. Francis (4 October) and the 11,000 Virgins (21 October)
