Vellum, ff. 145, 139x91 (90x50) mm, 24 lines, littera hybrida, Binding: 17thth-century black leather (1667?)

Decoration:

7 full-page miniatures (95/90x55/50 mm) with border decoration; 12 miniatures (60/55x60/50 mm) with border decoration; 13 illustrations in the margin; decorated initials with border decoration (ff. 14r, 18r, 26r, 34r, 42r, etc.); all border decoration in SouthernNetherlandish style (`strewn border' and `bands of text'; penwork initials with pen-flourishes (ff. 26v, 27v, 28r, 29r, 30v, etc.)

W. van Buel, Maastricht (1668). Purchased in 1896 from J.I. Boas Berg of Amsterdam

Annotation:

Liège calendar: feasts in red include St. Servaes (13 May), St. Lambert (17 September), St. Denis (9 October), St. Hubert (3 November). 6 leaves with full-page miniatures missing, before f. 13 (Gospel lessons), f. 18 (Passion according to John), ff. 50, 53, 56 (Hoursof the Virgin, Sext, None, Vespers), f. 72 (Penitential Psalms). Same scribe wrote Cornell University Library (Bd. Rare BX C36 H 484), dated 1528
