73 historiated initials (137/10x40/5 mm); 1 illustration in the margin (coat of arms); decorated initials (ff. 95r, 121r, 134v, 199v, 217v, etc.); penwork initials with pen-flourishes throughout

Provenance:

Henry III, King of France (1551-1589). Gomez Suarez de Figueroa, Duke of Feria (c. 1620). Presented by a Dominican to Jacopo, Duke of Montalbano; presented in 1625 by him to the Prince of Paliano. Purchased in 1833 at a sale at Silvestre, Paris (July 15, lot 2) byW.H.J. van Westreenen
