ordered by Jean de Vaudetar for King Charles V of France (d. 1380); lent to Louis I, duke of Anjou (d. 1384); after 1384 in the possession of John, duke of Berry (d. 1416); restituted in 1416 to King Charles VI (d. 1422); purchased in 1424 by John Plantagenet, duke ofBedford. G. Bluet of Paris (17th century). Presented in 1708 by the Jesuits of the Collège de La Flèche to Nicolas-Joseph Foucault (d. 1721). C. d'Orléans de Rothelin (d. 1744); purchased in 1749 at his sale at G. Martin, Paris (cat. 14 April, no. 50) by L.-J. Gaignat of Paris (d.1768); purchased in 1769 at the Gaignat sale at G.F.
