Vellum, ff. 204, 368x265 (247x160) mm, 28 lines, littera textualis, Binding: 18th-century brown leather (rebacked)

1 full-page miniature (300x185 mm); 3 column miniatures (118/78x118/72 mm); 1 miniature (63x63 mm); 16 historiated initials (121/17x115/20 mm); 24 roundels (35 mm); 2 illustrations in the margin; decorated initials with border decoration (ff. 1r, 1v, 2r, 2v, 3r,etc.); penwork initials with pen-flourishes (ff. 1r, 1v, 2r, 2v, 3r, etc.)

Provenance:

Probably made for Arnold of Oreye, Lord of Rummen and Baron of Quaerbecke. Purchased in 1830 from J.W. van Leeuwen, Leyden (sale May 11, lot 46) by W.H.J. van Westreenen

Annotation:

Summer part: Brussels, KB, 9217 (use of Liège/St. Trond?). Liège calendar: feasts in red include St. Servatius (May 13), St. Lambert (September 17), St. Hubert (November 2), St. Leonard (November 5). Decorated and penwork initials often contain figureheads (mainlyclerics) and droleries
