Jesuits of the Collège Louis-le-Grand (Collège de Clermont), Paris; purchased in 1764 as part of this collection (Clermont-cat. of 1764, no. 775) by Gerard Meerman (1722-1771) of Rotterdam, later The Hague; bydescent to his son Johan Meerman (1753-1815); acquired between 1815 and 1824 by Willem H.J. van Westreenen van Tiellandt (1783-1848) of The Hague; by legacy to the kingdom of the Netherlands in 1848
