Vellum, ff. 258, 81x59 (46x31) mm, 13 lines, littera hybrida, Binding: red morocco; gilt made by I. Boeseke (?) c. 1800-1810

Decoration:

1 full-page miniature (56x33 mm); 9 historiated initials (18/25x20/25 mm); decorated initials with border decoration (ff. 123r, 201r, 210r, 205av, 213r); penwork initials with pen-flourishes on most pages

Provenance:

Made for Willem Moreel (d. 1501) and his wife Barbara van Vlaenderberch gezegd van Hertsvelde (d. 1499). Purchased in 1800 by W.H.J. van Westreenen at the sale of Hazeu a.o. at C. Cornel, Rotterdam, (November 12, lot 927 in oct.)

Annotation:

Leaves with historiated initials missing before f. 33 (Hours of the Cross) and f. 155 (Office of the Dead); leaf, probably also with historiated initial, missing before f. 17 (Mass of the Virgin)
